Red velvet cake has been around for many centuries.
This cake is most popular in the southern United States and is often a staple in many family dinner tables in the south, church suppers or family reunions.

It tastes rich and sweet chocolate. This cake is ideal for special occasions, parties, or even a snack. For most people, the color red attracts immediate attention. This is what makes this cake so different from allothers.
This question is traditionally red no doubt caused by a touch of red food coloring (although some people do not even look at the beets for this bold look, Gross!).
Traditionally, this red velvet cake has a light cream cheese frosting smothered over the whole pie.
The contrast between the red and white icing cake and soft makes this one of my favorite desserts to staff.
The ingredients are simple and every time I make red velvet cake, nevertakes a long time for my family to meander down the stairs and find my special red velvet gift cooling in the kitchen.
Very soon, I'm passing the dishes and serve the cake into slices of meat in red velvet with cream cheese frosting decadent.
Oh, I can almost taste it now.
INGREDIENTS:
2 1 / 2 cup flour
1 1 / 2 cup sugar
2 tsp cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 / 2 cup oil
1 cup buttermilk
2 ozred food coloring
1 teaspoon vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place all dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt) in a large bowl. Mix together and then apart from the bowl.
2) Mix the eggs with a fork in a separate container. Add oil and mix again. Add this mixture to dry ingredients and stir with a whisk until smooth.
3) Add red food coloring to the buttermilk and stir in the buttermilk.
4) Pourthe mixture evenly into three greased and floured 8 "cake pans. A trick I learned making cakes is when greasing and flouring my cake pans is to substitute the usual starchy flour, icing sugar instead. Do not let the white powder at the bottom of your cakes and give them a slightly sweet taste.
5) Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool ten minutes and remove from pans to cooling grid.
Frost cake when cooled.
