Viking VSM500BK Black Stand Mixer 5-qt. Right now

I love this mixer!! I began researching the countertop mixers after reading the poor reviews on the KitchenAid. This mixer works wonderfully! I use spouted whole grain flour to make everything from cookies to bread; it is a very heavy and dense flour to work with, but no problem for this mixer at all. I even made sprouted whole grain oatmeal raisin chip cookies and it mixed all the ingreidents very quickly and perfectly. This receipe used to bog down my old hand mixer and I would end up mixing by hand...forever. This is a wonderful machine and I am so glad I bought it. FYI, it is heavy, but has wheels in the base that allow you to roll it accross the counter. Get more detail about Viking VSM500BK Black Stand Mixer 5-qt..

Lowest Price VIKING VSM500 Professional Stand Mixer - White

Bought a VSM500 for my wife for Xmas 2005. The issues we have had: 1. The instruction manual asks you to remove the beaters/dough hook etc in a clock wise manner. So, we got the beater in but then couldn't get it out. We tried and tried and were very discouraged. Well, my wife went back in and tried some hours later and it just popped right off. So we repeated the process and realized that to get the accessories off you actually have to remove them counter clockwise. Would be clockwise if you were looking down on the unit. Anyway, initially found that discouraging. Also, there is a round plastic piece that the mixing bowl sits on as it comes out the packaging, do not discard. Granted we have had the unit all of one day, but the plastic piece actually helps put the bowl on and take it off. Without it we found it to be somewhat tight.
I post this here b/c I couldn't find anything when I was looking to see what the problem was with our unit.
Having listed all the cons I still say, kudos to viking on the whole. The machine works remarkably well. Mashed potatoes, whipped cream, bread, rolls all in a day! Powerful unit, thoughtfully designed! Very well made accessories. Buy an extra bowl, makes the process go very smoothly if you are making more than one thing. Hope this helpsGet more detail about VIKING VSM500 Professional Stand Mixer - White.

Low Price Viking Stand Mixer 7 Quart in Bright Red

I have worn out 3 Kitchen Aid mixers in 30 yrs. So the Viking 7QT has some big shoes to fill. I let the mixer set on the counter for 3 days before using it. Just wanted to admire the BIG beautiful red thing. First test was a triple batch of my grand childrens favorite cookies. 6 cups of flour and 6 cups of oatmeal did not phase the Viking. It has ample power to accomplish most any kitchen task put before it. I have seen some reviews that the beater does not clean the ingredients from the bottom of the bowl. I did notice that on my first use but my husband was able to make a simple adjustment according to the manual and it is perfect now. Nothing against KitchenAid, as the brand served us well for such a long time but I am certainly happy with this purchase. Only wish I had not waited so long.Get more detail about Viking Stand Mixer 7 Quart in Bright Red.

Save Viking Range White Stand Mixer 7 Qt.

I received the Viking for Christmas and am a very experienced baker. I did thorough research on mixers and basically wanted a more heavy-duty mixer to do multiple cookie batches. I have to say from the first time I used it, it had the 'motor smell', skipped across the counter, and makes alot of noise from parts banging back and forth. These problems occur no matter what how large or small the recipes are. Yikes what an expensive mistake!!! I can't caution people enough -- do not buy this mixer!! I've had Kitchen Aids for years and NEVER had problems like this -- the Viking is an INFERIOR product and I wish I never bought it! Get more detail about Viking Range White Stand Mixer 7 Qt..

Buy SUNBEAM PRODUCTS INC 6854 SS 14SPD Core Blender

After having an Oster at my Mom's house, I decided to buy this one.
This is not my mom's Oster! I tried making smoothies(Ice,Milk and Fruit)
The blades would just spin and I would have to take jar off and shake ingredients for them to blend. I had to do this 4-5 times each time I made a smoothie. I'm now searching for another blender and have heard the 4000 series(beehive) is better so I will try that and leave a review of it.Get more detail about SUNBEAM PRODUCTS INC 6854 SS 14SPD Core Blender.

Purchase Sunbeam 2366 Classic Mixmaster Stand Mixer

I recently bought one of these from someone who never used it. So, I was excited to have a new mixer for low price. Well, I was going to town making some pumpkin bread and the tip of my wooden spoon caught the beaters and it instantly froze up, the motor burnt out. Smoke came from the motor compartment and it smelled burnt and it turned no more. No good! I have lost wooden spoons to a mixer but this is the first time for me to lose a mixer to a wooden spoon. I got online and started searching on it. Apparently I am not the first person to have this problem. I liked its light weight and quiet motor. It's a lousy wimpy no good motor, though! Truly an embarrassment to Sunbeam's typically high quality mixers!Get more detail about Sunbeam 2366 Classic Mixmaster Stand Mixer.

Order Sunbeam 2350 Heritage Stand Mixer White

This review is for a Sunbeam 2350 mixer. I used this mixer to knead bread dough, and it failed in less than five minutes. The gears are stripped, and the mixer no longer works for anything. This happened with a single loaf recipe and normal dough consistency, which leaves me wondering why the manufacturer included dough hooks with the mixer. In my opinion, for what this mixer does (or did, when it was working), a $20 hand held mixer would be easier to use, and would take one-fourth the storage room.Get more detail about Sunbeam 2350 Heritage Stand Mixer White.

Where To Buy SUNBEAM 2348-030 STAND MIXER

If you are like me, and simply cannot justify spending $200 (or more) for a heavy duty stand mixer that you will really use only once a month, look no further. If you do use a stand mixer often, this is a good alternative for the budget-conscious, to Kitchenaid!

This mixer will handle the toughest chores, including six pounds of bread dough. It isn't the same inside, as other Mixmaster stand mixers. This one has TWO motors. One for the beaters, another, at the base, drives the bowls counter to the beaters, for a more complete mixing. It also comes with three sets of attachments: Beaters, dough hooks AND whisks. Other models that look about the same do not include the whisk attachments. On this model, the bowls twist-lock onto the base rather than ride on a turntable, an important difference. It is heavy, rests on rubber feet for complete stability. It features a "soft start" which ramps to any of the selected 12 speeds quickly, as opposed to instantly, saving splashing and snow-storming.

I gave it four stars instead of 5 simply because Sunbeam makes no provision for attachments. But really, how often does one need a meat grinder attachement or one for ice cream, instead of simply using the real deal?

So, if you are looking for a quality, heavy-duty stand mixer, with a full two year warranty, under $200, that will stand up to anything you need to mix, this is the one for you.
