It was love of first sight for my Sunbeam stand mixer and me. I was passing by this aisle at an appliance store where countertop kitchen devices were displayed, and then my attention was invited to this Sunbeam stand mixer at the corner of the aisle. Its over-all look was very familiar, and suddenly, I was transported back in time when I was still about 4 years old. It has always been easy to use, light and easy to carry. It runs on 450 watts of power, and I can control its mixing speed up to 12 notches (1 for slow mixing, 12 for whipping). Aside from the speed buttons, there is also an easy-release beater button on its top handle. I can tilt its top head back too if I want to remove the beater or bowl for cleaning. Over all, because it is of a poly-resin type material, it can be easily cleaned with a soapy sponge/cloth or a non-abrasive all-purpose cleanser. It is also dishwasher safe.
This brand of stand mixer has 2 stainless steel mixing bowls, big and small. The big bowl can accommodate up to 4.6 quarts, and the small bowl up to 2 quarts of dry or wet ingredients. As I increase or decrease the mixing speed, the bowl speed automatically changes. It boasts of its a hands-free operation. One unit of the kitchen appliance also includes "V groove" beaters, dough hooks and wire whisks. I have to pay for the additional attachments like pasta maker, blender, meat grinder, etc. if I want to have them.
Because of its non-skid rubber feet, I am confident that this kitchen device is completely stable while on the kitchen counter and whether it's in use or not. Sunbeam stand mixer is one memorable appliance that I hope to pass to my daughter in the coming days.
