Kalorik 200-Watt 5-Speed Stand Mixer, White Review

This is a nice mixer for the price. I am not comparing it to my KitchenAid stand mixer of course. But to a comparably priced hand mixer (which this one can be used as also) this has many advantages - most importantly that you don't have to hold it. The bowl is a bit small, and it is a bit underpowered with just 200 watts, but for non-serious cooks, college kids and such, it's handy, well made and a good brand. Hamilton Beach 64695 Power Deluxe Hand/Stand Mixer Top Quality

It was all I could afford and I really needed a mixer with a little more muscle. If you can get something better, do! The beaters don't reach the bottom of the bowl and there's no way to adjust this like there is on the better made stand mixers. I was trying to make cookie icing in it and had to resort to using it as a hand mixer because it wasn't reaching any of the mixture in the bowl. Perhaps if they'd used a stainless steel bowl they'd have designed the beaters to go all the way down?

Two positive things about this product:

The bowl is really nice. Heavy, glass, SOLID. I may get rid of the stand because it seems to serve no purpose but I'll keep the bowl forever--and the mixer until I wear it out, of course. That is if I don't box the whole thing up and take it back to the store.

The whisk that comes with the mixer is even shorter than the beaters and is extremely flimsy. Unless you are whipping quite a bit of cream you won't be able to use this as a stand mixer and even then you'll have to stir and scrape the bowl constantly.

When off its stand, the mixer itself rests very well on its back end, reminds me of an iron. That's nice because I don't get the counter messy with the dirty beaters when I need to set the mixer down.Get more detail about Hamilton Beach 64695 Power Deluxe Hand/Stand Mixer.

Recently reviewed the purchase of this mixer in white that I bought for my daughter. I purchased this one for my wife, it is our second one. The first I bought for her 29 years ago. I bought it in white back then. The first one has been used regularly because my wife is a very good cook. We kept waiting for the old one to die, well with KitchenAid, that never happens. So after 32 years of marriage I bought her the Brushed Nickel KSM152PSNK. If you do not have a KitchenAid mixer and you like to cook, you need one. Spend the money and buy one.
