I got this mixer earlier in the year and thought it was going to be great! I had had a Sunbeam Heritage and it just didn't live up to my expectations! I got this one, in black and I love it! It's beyond great!! It leaves virtually nothing un-mixed and is VERY powerful! I make ALOT of mashed potato's and cakes in mine and it is holding up great! What a great piece of machinery! I had an older model (about 35 years older) and wanted a new bright red one for my kitchen decor. It works as well as the older one and I love the wider bowl. It makes adding ingredients much easier. The speed control on the new one allows finer adjustment than the old one did and it seems to be a little more powerful, not that it needed to be.
