I purchased this one for my daughter a few years ago and also purchased a different model for myself about 5 years ago. No worries about the reconditioned models. They are identical to brand new. Not even a scratch on either one. My daughter says she prefers this model which has the tilting head and I prefer my model whose head is stationary and the bowl rises and lowers to the beaters. Just a matter of personal preference. This model has pretty good power for mixing almost anything you could want, but, if you do a lot of heavy mixing such as weighty bread doughs, etc. I would suggest a little beefier model with suped up horse power.Get more detail about Factory-Reconditioned KitchenAid Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixers.
