I own a Viking mixer and probably use this attachment more than I use the actual mixer. I love it for making soups and smoothies. Its great to be able to put all the healthy things I want for my kids into a blender and have it come out tasting great. The mixer is already on my counter top so it is particularly convenient to be able to pull out the blender jar and just start mixing. I love the way the power settings on the mixer allow variable blending with this attachment. Its made of sturdy glass but I have found the plastic top a bit unwieldy. The round part you take out to add ingredients while mixing got very stuck and eventually broke when I tried to take it out.
